Korean large language model (LLM) startup Trillion Labs said on June 8 that it has begun developing "Industrial World Models" for AI factories based on Nvidia platforms.

Industrial World Models are designed to enable AI systems to understand, simulate and optimize operations across complex industrial environments such as AI data centers and power plants.

The company is leveraging Nvidia technologies including the Nvidia Omniverse library for physics-based simulation and Nvidia Nemotron open models focused on reasoning capabilities.

Trillion Labs said industrial world models must be capable of comprehensively understanding and analyzing complex engineering drawings, time-series data, equipment operation records, maintenance histories, operational constraints and interdependencies among infrastructure systems in order to optimize industrial operating environments.

The company has previously developed foundation models including large language models (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLMs) from scratch. More recently, it has expanded into world model research focused on understanding physical environments.

Trillion Labs said it aims to pioneer a new "Industrial Intelligence" sector in the AI infrastructure market by combining world models with AI factories, digital twins and physical AI ecosystems.
