Indian sovereign AI startup Sarvam has attained unicorn status after a new series B funding round, according to a June 15, 2026

on the company’s website.

The Bangalore-based startup raised USD 234m in the first close of their series B funding round, bringing the company to a post-money valuation of USD 1.5bn. HCLTech and Bessemer Venture Partners invested in the round, as well as existing investors.

Co-founded in 2023 by Vivek Raghavan and Pratyush Kumar, Sarvam has a
